This song is probably one of the most personally vulnerable ones I’ve ever written. I hope the message connects with you the way it does with me. It felt like an answer to prayer, and something I need to remind myself of every day. It’s very easy to get discouraged with limitations and circumstances in our lives that may be out of our control, or that are in our control, but we just don’t feel like we measure up to the task. When it comes right down to it, the only opinion that really matters, is that of our Savior, Jesus Christ. My experience with Him, is that He is full of grace, with open arms to receive and comfort us, and to lift us up when we are falling or have fallen. He is the Master Healer, the True Redeemer, and my Eternal Friend. Without Him, I could not and would not be able to write songs. He is my joy and my inspiration.

I appreciate my co-writer, Charlene Beal, from Song Chasers, helping me finish up this song and Becky Willard sharing her angelic voice and superstar production talents to make it shine. I have never had two songs released as closely as this one and Jesus is My Rock, mostly because I set a release date for Jesus is My Rock and had to wait, so I decided not to do that this time. They are similar in theme, if you look at the titles, but  different in the emotion, when you listen. I hope both of these songs, and all my songs, point people to our loving God and motivate us all to draw closer to Him.
