With everything that is dark and frustrating in this world, I wanted to write a song that focuses how much light and guidance God brings into our lives. The British writer, Augustus William Hare, said, “It is light that enables us to see the difference between things; and it is Christ that gives us light.” 

Throughout time people use the North Star to help guide them. The light and example of our Savior is our very best compass! When we seek to follow Him, we find peace and joy, even when going through difficult and seemingly unbearable things. His light and glorious gospel brings sense and meaning to our world. He helps open our eyes to see beyond the hard and temporary things and have greater vision into eternity. He calms our hearts and helps us know that everything is going to be alright. 

I hope this song will bring some of our Savior’s light to you today.
