Make You Smile

Sometimes we get very caught up in ways we want God to help us. Our prayers can become focused on all the people we know who need His help and all the things we are worried about in life. Even when we do express gratitude to God, we might be thinking more about ourselves, and less about Him.

One day I was thinking about all the troubles in this world and how it makes me feel and I was thinking about how God is looking on us with so much love and hope and how it must make Him so sad to see choices we make that bring hurt and sadness to ourselves and others. I was thinking about His great Gift to us, the sacrifice of Jesus Christ, and His example, and how so many don’t know about it or find the joy of the gospel. I was just filled with a desire to make God smile, to do the things that would bring Him some joy. This song was the result of those thoughts. I hope it brings some joy and hope to you, and that God is pleased with me writing it.
